St Ives High School's 50th Anniversary celebration!

St Ives High School celebrated 50 years of successful schooling on Friday 21st November 2014.

We arrived to find the school hall beautifully decorated.

and almost empty except for Sharyn and  Pauline

Many of the old and current staff gathered to toast the school and talk about fond memories.

Yes .... We notice that Pauline Beston, Musical Head Teacher extraordinaire is in all three photos!

David Muirhead on the left was MC for the night as well as relating  some interesting/amusing past stories from St Ives school life.

People signed in under the colourful posters celebrating St Ives High 50th Anniversary.

Marc Solomon, outstanding History student joined Milley Tilley and Sue Taggart.

Pam Bullock, organiser extraordinaire [ plus Tania McGurgan] is pleased to see Pauline. How did Pauline arrive in so many photos?

They were joined by ex Principal, Louise Yeomans and Joe Murphy, Maths who is the longest serving teacher at St Ives.
 Louise, Joe and Sharyn gave speeches about the school as well as the current Principal, Mark Watson.

And of course Pauline and Marc again!

Tom McKibbin,  [ HSIE], speech giver also is joined by Ros Hayes' husband, John, a former Principal of MacKellar Girls High School and inspector.

The speeches were memorable and inspired members of the class of 1964 to come on stage and talk about their time at The School.

Some of Sharyn Anderson's favourite History students were on hand to celebrate the school as well.
Olly Novak, Theo Bentley who gave a wonderful speech and Marc Solomon.

We were all happy for the great success of  St Ives High School!
